People are confused

Many people in the USA won't vote for Bernie Sanders 'because he's a socialist.' But asked what socialism actually is they try not to admit they have no clue. Why is that?

When asked what they want it's things like cheaper healthcare and higher minimum wage. They are visibly confused when they hear that's excactly what Sanders wants but the opposite of what Trump wants.

Why would anyone vote for a person who acts against their best interests?

A positive world: Brexit and helping the homeless

There are a lot of serious things going on in the world. Sometimes that's quite depressing. That's why I'm happy with people who make us see things from the sunny side. Here's a funny (and true!) explanation of Brexit:

Here's another person bringing something positive into the world. By making his own dream come true he helps others:

We are easily fooled

Would you pay $500 for a pair of $20 sneakers? 'Of course not!' you would probably say. But as it turns out a lot of 'smart' people are easily tricked into paying a lot of money for something that's actually only worth a little. Not you of course. You and Iwould never fall for a simple marketing trick. Right? That's why all the things we own are a strict necessity we can't live without. Like that breadmaker we bought five years ago and used twice. Or that lovely dress that's waiting in your wardrobe for you to lose a bit more weight.

Apparently 'luxury' and 'high quality' only exist in the eyes of the beholder and are nothing more than marketing instruments. Think about that when considering your next purchase.

Last Line of Defense

"What viral insanity should we spread this morning?" About this one man who made millions of Americans (mostly conservatives) believe the stories he made up were true. As a social experiment Christopher Blair started a Facebook site to see if Donald Trump's followers would really believe anything, even if not in the least bit supported by facts. In short: yes, a lot of people are extremely gullible.

Here's a list of obviously fake stories that an amazing number of people simply took for truth:

"The good chunk of the population who believe aren't based in reality," Blair told PolitiFact.
