She was the wind 

and I was the sails 

She pushed my boundaries 

towards goals 

I had never imagined 

and guided me 

to safe harbours

Why is 'religious zealot' synonym for 'hypocrite'?

The USA (335 million inhabitants) is the worlds number 1 food exporter; the Netherlands (18 million inhabitants) ranks second. These two countries also rank 1 and 2 respectively on the world wide distribution of child p0rn. Coincidence? Let's hope so. 

Fact is: both countries have a long history of religious conservatives. As a matter of fact: the USA was founded by ultra conservative calvinists who first got kicked out of England before they got kicked out of Holland before sailing to North America, exterminated the local population and created the US. 

The Pilgrims were prosecuted for their religion and became asylum seekers: the proud first illegal immigrants to the continent of North America. Raping, plundering and murdering the people who already inhabited the americas for generations before they showed up.

Creating the Land of the Free (except for women, poor people, slaves, indigenous people and immigrant workers) really took of when they opposed the tariffs ordered by the King of England. They even created their own language! By removing the letter u from colour and honour. 

Everyone cheering for King Donald for his tariffs is dissing the brave people who opposed King George by protesting his tariffs and starting the Civil War.

It almost seems a law of nature: religious conservatives crying that every sexual deviant goes to hell. Only to be followed by the news that a religious conservative person sexually molested someone. 

Religious conservatives (the ex-comedian Russell Brand had himself baptised in 2025 by the famous hypocrite and liar Bear Grylls. Perhaps hoping to be absolved from his crimes by - at least on social media - turn to Jesus) love to lie and never take the blame for their actions: "I didn't lie, all the women who claim I r4ped them are liars!"

Instead of condemning criminal acts, conservatives celebrate criminals and their behaviour when they are a conservative too. 

S3xual acts that have been common for thousands of years were illegal in the Land of the Free until 2003. And I quote:

The consensual practice of an4l or oral s3x was legalised by the 2003 U.S. Supreme Court case of Lawrence v. Texas. It's a general rule: if something is forbidden, it becomes an exciting fetish. Hence you find more s3xual perversion amongst religious conservatives than in any other demographic group.

More often than not children are the victims of these s3xual predators. 

If a child gets s3xually molested, you can almost bet the perpetrator is a religious conservative; Catholic, Protestant, Jew...it doesn't matter; when the person is a zealot, the person is almost certainly hypocrite as well:

Hell is full of conservative religious people. So indeed, not a fun place to be. 

Nor was the actual hell, a place called Gehenna (aka Gehinnom but also Sheol. The King James Bible translated those words to the now familiar 'hell'); basically the waste dump just outside Jerusalem. Where not only the city's garbage was dumped but also the bodies of hung criminals. It was also the place where some of the first Kings of the Jews sacrificied children. For those who are wondering where the myth 'Jews sacrifice children!! comes from. 

Creepy people in the Bronze Age. And I really don't know what's the appeal for people in our time. Why worship and be proud descendants of people who didn't know toilet paper, slaughtered entire people for a bit of power and sacrificied children?

Personally I think it's a bit creepy that conservatives are really obsessed with genitals, children and - frightingly - the combination.

Why are conservatives such hypocrites? One of the theories is: they are incredibly stupid and uneducated. Most religious conservatives don't even know that lesbians are gay!

Should sane people educate religious conservatives or should we just let this type of human species die out and stop urging them to stop homeschooling and tell them to vaccinate their children?

Walk (a #poem)

Sometimes it seems impossible

to fold out your wings and fly.

As if you're stuck in a cage

which gives little room to move.

When you get out

you notice 

you are still unable to fly

because you haven't used 

your wings in a while

You almost feel paralyzed

until a friend tells you:

remember you can still walk

Civilisation

Every once in a while anthropologists stumble upon a people that are completely oblivious to the outside world. Those groups of people are usually quite small and have developed customs that may seem alien to people living in 'our' world. 

Because they lack in numbers, it's not uncommon for cousins to have children. Making genetic defects like mental development issues not a rare occurence. They have lived like that for generations and seem overall content. In rural USA.

All joking aside, it does seem that people living in small communities may seem simple minded to others and vote for politicians 'because they promised us a better life!" Apparently they can't comphrehend the notion there are people who would willingly harm others, just to enrich themselves and their so called friends. 

If you can't afford the $122 a month cable subscription in the US, 

your options to watch different TV channels are limited. And so will be your worldview. 

But that's okay, of course. There are tribes tucked away in dense forests that are perfectly content living in the exact same way their ancestors did 30,000 years ago. And - if poachers and corrupt government leaders don't ruin their habitat - they will probably outlive us. If only because they know how to live without electricity and supermarkets.

"Yeah, but those uncivilised tribes spend half an hour making fire!" Sure. Just like you at the yearly neighbourhood barbecue. Although you have matches. But even if they spend a few hours a day on collecting and preparing food, they have all the time in the world. They don't work 8 hours a day enriching someone else; they don't spend 3 hours a day watching TV and spend zero time mindlessly scrolling social media. They don't spend an hour a day discussing topics they know nothing about with people who don't care about their opinion because they already made up their minds. They don't waste time looking for gadgets they absolutely don't need but are told they can't live without. 

"Yeah, but they don't have money!"

If 'having money' is your best argument to call yourself 'civilised' (or 'civilized' if you're American), you may have to rethink your priorities.

Did human evolution stop? Maybe. For some.

Have we stopped evolving? Of course not. And there is plenty of evidence for that. 

Although it's true that a large group of humanoids (like Tiana and - for example - Marjorie Taylor Greene) never made it past the stage of the Neanderthaler, most of humanity has evolved and continues to do so.  It's true. Bigly.

Racists are a prime example of people who have yet to evolve. Sure, it's normal to be absolutely terrified of people who don't have the same colour skin as you do because you are only a small tribe and they might have diseases that your people can't deal with yet. But that was f'in 100,000 years ago.

It's time for racists to go extinct.

People like Tiana and MTG are the reason I developed this theory: some time ago a branch of humans evolved into the Homo Sapiens Sapiens, 'the thinking man'. While a rather large group got stuck in the Neanderthal type of development: the Homo Lunatic Ludicrous, 'the really, really stupid man'. 

And remember (a #poem)

Sometimes the only thing that's left

is not right

but the past

that suddenly came instead

and won't last

as the charm that's now

a distant memory

that brings a smile

to those who still are

If there's one group that rightfully can be called 'snowflakes' it's the radical right. Because fascists start crying when you call them fascists. Because the radical right mostly consists of cowards some 99% of them only dare to share their racist nonsense anonymously. Fascist cowards won't tell their names and hide their faces when their Great Leader tells them to round up people who speak out against fascism:

It happened with many more people than just with Tuft University student Rumeysa Ozturk. 

If you live in a country where people are violently silenced for exposing the truth about their fascist government, there's no longer any doubt you live in a facist state. 

"Yeah, but at least people don't get murdered for exposing the truth about their country's leaders!"

Think again.

How to catch a shadow 

if you've never chased a dream?

On time moving on

without knowing it stood still 

or on promises broken 

by a night or the will 

to end the ability 

to describe an angel 

without ever having seen one 

or even heard of their existence?

Try to love 

without empathy and you'll fail.

Try to feel

without touch and you'll fall 

because you'll never know 

how to catch a shadow
