That quote was taken from this clip,
explaining that - generally speaking - Americans really do not care about anyone or anything but themselves. As if they take pleasure in ruining the planet and depriving their grandchildren of clean air and water. Their faith in capitalism is só strong that they are willing to suffer themselves so [their politicians] the oil industry has an ever increasing standard of wealth. As evidenced by the fact they voted for policitians who introduced a ban on the future banning of single use plastics.

Figures (click) show that the American population (and that of a few other countries) really has gotten dumber. Some of their supposedly smartest people - the ones actually [ruining] running the country are people who deny the existence of (man caused) climate change, believe in 'jewish space lasers', that women can't get pregnant when raped, et cetera. If the smartest people in a country are that unbelievably dumb, what does that say for the general population?
Of course - and luckily there are Americans who are still capable of thinking and won't let a handful of media control their thoughts and actions. But I fear for the future of the 'land of the free'. And that of the planet.
So, why do you think that so many (non-)Americans are so dumb?
