Passed Station (a #poem)

The train left decades ago
and it stopped at interesting places

At some I stayed a while,
while from others I just wanted
to move on

Some stations became dear to me
and others I want to forget about

But they're all part of my journey
and the train brought me where I am today

To think of where to go next?
That's a passed station

If gods were real

If gods were real, they would not be perfectly adapted to the circumstances their worshippers lived under.

A goddess of the sea only thrived in cultures depending on the sea for food. In areas were a god told people not to eat pork, the people's leaders already knew eating the meat of pigs could make a person seriously ill. Because refrigerators weren't invented yet.

All religions borrow habits from already existing religions and those habits change when demands change.
