Humans are by far the stupidest of animals. Sure, other animals fight too but we are the only ones who not only fight for scarce resources and to protect our young but out of greed. We fight because we want more than we have and need. And seldom - contrary to all other animals - do we fight those fights ourselves. No, people don't risk their own limbs and lives but those of the less fortunate.
With just a few exceptions government leaders never fought in the wars they started.
Despite many protests greed keeps ruling and wars keep being waged.
Young men and women are just as expendable as the bombs and bullets they use to kill other innocent people in the name of 'freedom'. The freedom to extract more resources so extremely rich people can become even richer.
I for one would like to see the CEO's of oil- and mine companies fight their own battles over control of resources instead of having their business friends in governments use innocent people as ammunition and targets.
Millions of innocent lives are lost and millions in tax money are waisted while the only things that really change are the names of the owners of mines and oil companies.
