A Gate (a #poem)

A gate.
At the end of a corridor
Flanked by tall bushes.
A simple padlock
holds the gate in place.
It looks easy to escape
but is harder than it looks.

Seeing the other side,
knowing what is there.
Unable to reach it
and for some reason
unable to shout
being divided by
a gate
