Skywatch Friday

(Click the picture to enlarge it)

Walking the streets of my hometown of Amsterdam I witnessed this very strange phenomena in the sky. Anyone got a clue?

From a small bridge not far from my place I saw a different side of "the piramids" that are actually shaped after the christmas-tree in the architect's office. There's also a bird. Can you spot it?

Standing on that same bridge you can see this genuine old windmill. Unfortunately "the piramids" block the wind from it so it can't work anymore.

Walking from my house towards the bridge connecting two parts of the city:

"The Piramids" up a little closer:

Great photos, I love the first photo, are they trails from an airplane. Or could they just be clouds?

I would say the pink trails in the first shot are contrails, we get those here frequently -- not always in this lovely shade of pink, but in various shapes, lengths and they are all fascinating to watch! All of your shots are delightful and I really enjoy visiting your blog, Terrence!

Enjoy your weekend!

Leuke rondleiding.

Mooie foto's

Terrence: I found the bird and did you see the boy drawn on the building was pointing at it. Those were a beautiful series of captures.
BTW: The attack fish are not harmful.

Nice photos. I especially like the first one although all are interesting. I did find the bird. Reminded me of Poe's "Raven."
