Not Today (a #poem)
They call me
in the middle of the night
but it's really daybreak
and they wake me up
to start a new day
But as soon as I realise
a new day has started
I want the day
to be in my past
To leave behind
the pain and sorrow
Until I remember
I will see you again
some day
that's just not
today
