It's true because it's written in ancient Hebrew!

Some (looking at you, evangelicals and zionists) believe that the older a text is, the more 'truth' it holds.

Which is nonsense. In both modern and ancient times writers lied, were wrong, fantasized, wrote while on drugs, wrote parabels and fairy tales...
Believing 'It must be true because someone once wrote it down!' just means you're probably in a cult.

Storytelling has always been the number one means of changing people's minds towards a certain goal. Fairy tales were originally quite grim warning tales. Told to children so they wouldn't wander away in the forest and 'get their souls snatched by the forest spirits', 'get eaten by the big bad wolf' and so on.

Unfortunately people greedy for power, land, money noticed people believed everything they were told. As long as the story is repeated often enough. With the invention of writing, books, newspapers, radio, television and social media demagogues had more tools to control the masses. Succesfully.

Just look at how many millions of people believe anything as long as they are convinced their sources are reliable. "I can trust this podcaster because he told me so!" is not different from: "Everything in the Bible is true because it says so in the Bible!"

When people use the Bible as justification for bigotry, I ask them which translation, which version and which verse. Fake christians can never answer Bible questions. Because they never actually read the Bible but simply repeat dumb right wing talking points.

Go on, try it: ask a christo-fascist to name five christian values.

Fake christians don't know simple facts. Like that the Catholic Bible consists of 73, Orthodox Catholics have a book collection ('Biblio'->'Bible') of 76  books but the Protestant one only holds 66. Which is still a lot of books full of cautionary tales, fiction and contradictions. But the Ethiopian Orthodox Church wins with a total number of 81 Bible Books their leaders decided not to withold from their flock.

If you were to count all the 'sacred' pieced of texts that were found in the Levant, you could form a Bible that contains 263 books.

Why do you think church leaders withold information from their flock?

Because sheeple are easier to control if they believe in a certain narrative.

Because fascists...pardon...zionists might change their minds if they were to find out their form of zionism was invented late 19th century, has little to do with Judaism and the actual early Jews would hate them for using an invented language they call 'Hebrew'. Ancient Hebrew was only used for sacred texts, not to scold muslims, christians and homosexuals. And not to laugh: "Ha, that shot felt good!" when you shoot a child through the head.

What do you know about the Bible?
